Author's note: WHITE KNIGHT is a cross-over tale between two unlikely TV shows of which I am exceedingly fond - the 1960's Daniel Boone series and Forever Knight, a Canadian production that aired throughout the 1990's. At first the two would seem totally incompatible. Daniel Boone, after all, is about good old-fashioned values, about light and wholesomeness. Forever Knight is the dark tale of a vampire seeking redemption; a tale filled with evil so intense as to be, at times, disturbing. And yet, in Nicholas Knight's centuries-old quest to regain his soul and mortality he has encountered many people, become involved in many lives, and left many touched with his inherent goodness and - Nicholas would scoff at this - his humanity. This is the second time I have taken Nicholas into a past I love. If you like WHITE KNIGHT, be sure to read my other story KNIGHT IN CHESTER, where Nicholas, Janette and the ever present and eternally evil LaCroix pay a visit to 18th century Chester, PA and run into a group of YOUNG REBELS....
Thanks to those who beta read for me this most unusual tale and to Paula whose only desire was to see Boonesborough, KY buried under a mountain of snow....
